MEMBER'S GALLERYThis is a project I built, on commission, for a local taxidermist. The pedestal is done in solid black cherry (Prunus serotina) dyed with red cherry analine dye followed by three protective coats of water-based polyurethane. This type of pedestal is well suited to showcase a head and shoulder type deer mount. The inside cavity is intended to be filled with natural materials (e.g. grasses and parts of small shrubs) thus contributing to the natural look of the piece.
